SOUL - Barmoor Anti Wind Farm Group. 'Save Our Unspoilt Landscape ' is a group formed to fight the application by Catamount/Force 9 to build nine 110.5m. [362 ft.] turbines at Barmoor (within 5 km. of the 'Moorsyde' proposal) in the beautiful, unspoilt landscape of North Northumberland.
Moorsyde Action Group - North Northumberland. A group set up to fight the application of ten 110m turbines proposed by Your Energy Ldt. A very comprehensive website with many relevant links and information regarding onshore wind energy.
Lammermuir Protection Group - Group opposing the industrialisation of the Lammermuir Hills. The Crystal Rig site, shortly due to be massively expanded, along with the Black Hill site at Duns, and the consented development at Aikengall seriously targets the Eastern Lammermuirs.
Dunion Hill Conservation Group - Group opposing a proposal by Windjen for eight 101 metre turbines on Dunion Hill and Black Law near Jedburgh. The turbines would dominate the beautiful Rule Water Valley, one of the Borders hidden treasures. They would also spoil famous views to Peniel Heugh and Rubers Law and have a huge visual impact on the Tweed and Teviot valleys.
Broadmeadows Action Group - Group opposing proposals by GreenPower for thirteen 112 metre (367 ft.) turbines near Yarrowford. The group are also opposing AMEC's application for the proposal at Minch Moor of fourteen 100 metre (328 ft.) turbines near Innerleithen. These schemes would dominate the Yarrow and Tweed valleys and severely impact on hillwalking routes such as the Southern Upland Way.
Penicuik Environment Protection Assocation (PEPA) -"Formed by residents of Penicuik, Carlops and Howgate communities to protect Auchencorth Moss near Penicuik from E.ON's proposal to build 18 x 2.5 MW wind turbines."

Local Information:

Clifftop Discovery - a consortium of local farmers creating a specialised tour along the East Berwickshire coastline focusing on the natural history and wildlife. This tour will be negatively affected by the wind farm development as the visual amenity will be comprimised which will have a knock on effect on the local tourist industry.
Fast Castle - Visitors to this historical site will have their experience of the wild, magestic and magical coastline comprimised as they will have to pass the 22 turbines to reach the site.
St. Abbs Head - This is a famous onshore seabird breeding site and National Nature Reserve. Visitors flock to this area for bird watchhing, wildlife and experiencing the wild unspoilt landscape will have their visit comprimised by the fact that they may have to drive through the 22 turbines straddling the A1107 to get to this site.
